A leadership team that grew
within the company
Simon Harnois, ing.
President and Chief Executive Officer
A civil engineer specializing in structures, Simon earned his Bachelor of Engineering degree from Université Laval in 2000. He joined Métal Perreault in 2004 and has since devoted his expertise to the steel industry.
Over the course of his career with the company, Simon has held several key roles, including quality manager, project manager, chief estimator, project director, and Vice President, Estimating and Projects. His in-depth understanding of operations, combined with his passion for steel, welding, and fabrication, has made him a recognized expert in estimating, project management, and solving complex technical problems related to steel structures. Clients who work with Simon benefit from his expertise, dedication, and consistent focus on finding solutions.
Considered the founder’s natural successor, Simon now leads Métal Perreault as President and Chief Executive Officer. Alongside his partners, he plans to build on the company’s achievements while preparing it for the future, notably through the continuous improvement of internal processes, the automation of operations, and the strategic renewal of machinery. He also seeks to build a strong company culture among employees, built on collaboration, commitment, and excellence.
Richard Daneault
Vice President, Sales and Estimating
With more than 20 years of experience in the structural steel industry, Richard has held several key roles, including senior estimator, chief estimator, detailer, and project manager.
He joined Métal Perreault in February 2017 as a project manager and was quickly promoted to chief estimator before the end of that same year. Since then, he has led the estimating department, where he skillfully negotiates and concludes sales agreements with clients.
Richard is also dedicated to developing and maintaining strong business relationships with both new and existing clients. Since 2018, he has played a decisive role in expanding Métal Perreault’s customer base and increasing sales for both Métal Perreault and its sister company, L&D Steel USA, by leading business development efforts in Florida.
Driven by a commitment to exceptional service and high-quality products, Richard focuses on building lasting partnerships so that clients continue to trust Métal Perreault for years to come.
Nicolas Leclerc
Vice President, Operations
Nicolas, Vice President of Operations at Métal Perreault, has been with the company since 2015.. He has held several key roles, including quality director, continuous improvement director, plant manager, and director of operations. This background has given him a thorough understanding of every department and process within the company.
Nicolas has strong expertise in steel structure fabrication, operations and production management, industrial engineering, budget management, and team engagement. His diverse skills also cover the management of special projects, problem-solving, process automation and standardization, welding engineering, IT infrastructure, ERP software implementation, commercial exports, and legal dispute resolution.
An experienced leader, Nicolas has led shareholder meetings and strategic planning sessions for several years. His ability to inspire and mobilize both leadership and operational teams actively contributes to Métal Perreault’s continued success.
