Role and job description
Under the responsibility of the Shop Foreman, the Misc Steel Fabricator must be able to prepare (assemble, cut, form, etc.) the materials worked (stairs, railings, ladders and light structures): using factory machinery: drill, bender, welder, sander, etc. from shop drawings. Trace reference points and patterns on pieces of metal according to specifications. Assemble and fit metal sections and plates to form units using spot welding. Install the completed components into the final product. Weld the parts.
Main responsibilities and tasks
Assembly of the various components of crafted materials (stairs, railings, ladders and light structures);
Perform tacking and welding and ensure that welds meet quality standards;
Make sure to respect deadlines;
Comply with shop drawings;
Any other related task

L'estimateur doit faire le relevé des quantités, la préparation des coûts des matériaux, l'estimé de la main d'oeuvre, de l'équipement et de la sous-traitance pour les appels d'offres de projets et ce, selon les plans et les spécifications.
Analyse les coûts et préparent des estimations sur divers projets architecturaux et structuraux.
Le soudeur doit être en mesure d'effectuer des soudures avec les procédés F.C.A.W. , G.M.A.W. et savoir interpréter les différents symboles de soudage.
Utiliser des appareils manuels ou semi-automatiques en vue du soudage des pièces métalliques.
Bonne connaissance en lecture de plans
